Manual Walking Pad Update: New Chain, Different Noise

Upgrading our manual walking pad, the Office Walker, sometimes means swapping one issue for another. In our latest update, we've taken a step forward with a new chain, minimizing the previous clicking noise. But as with any innovation, new challenges have emerged. Check out our progress in the video below.

A Shift from Clicking to a New Noise

We've successfully managed to eliminate most of the original clicking noise that was caused by the chain. However, as with any complex system, one change can reveal underlying issues. A new sound has emerged from the bearings at the back of the walking pad.

The noise seems to originate from the bearings brushing against the wall at the back of the machine. Somehow, it was being masked by the previous chain noise. It's like peeling an onion – layers of sound we're uncovering, to get everything just right.

A Possible Setback

While investigating the new sound, we noticed something else: the bearings appear to be lifting a bit, indicating that something might have broken inside. This is a setback, but these hiccups are a natural part of the developmental journey.

Our team's working hard to strengthen everything from the inside out. We’re determined to refine the mechanics so that any disruptive noise becomes a faint memory.
